The Sawgrass Nature Center and Wildlife Hospital serves the South Florida community by providing native wildlife rehabilitation and environmental education. As a 501(c)(3) organization, we fund our mission through a diverse revenue portfolio of donations, fundraisers, earned income and grants. We appreciate your consideration of support.

A Wildlife Sanctuary in Coral Springs

Nature Center

Our non-releasable animal exhibits and gardens are open to visitors Tuesday- Friday 9 am - 5 pm and Saturday & Sunday 10 am - 3 pm. Our facility is closed on Mondays.

Wildlife Hospital

A licensed wildlife rehabber staffs our wildlife hospital and treats over 1100 native Florida animals annually. The goal is to release these animals back to the wild. The hospital is open Tuesday - Friday 9:30 am - 4:00 pm and Saturday and Sunday 10:00 am - 2:00 pm

Self-Guided Tours

Visitors can explore outdoor exhibits housing non-releasable native wildlife such as owls, tortoises, alligators, and parrots in naturalistic habitats. The center also features an aviary, orchid garden, and apiary.

Educational Programs

School & Group Programs tailored for students from pre-K through high school, these programs can be conducted on-site, in classrooms, or virtually. They feature live animal presentations, specimens, and artifacts to teach about Florida's native wildlife and ecosystems

Camp Wild

An outdoor environmental camp for students 6-12 years old. Our outdoor camp offers activities and crafts related to the environmental theme of the week.

Annual Gala

Our annual Gala is an elegant fundraising event featuring a cocktail reception, fine dining, silent and live auctions, and special presentations
